I was excited to see this case available with the sponge thinking it will protect my sponge from other products getting on it. The foundation sponge blends well but is no "miracle" as suggested. The sponge is great for setting my BB cream or my liquid foundation ( when I wear it). The expert face brush especially sheds absolutely everytime and is just the worst. This is a better product, anyway! I take really good care of my brushes, I have had my first ones since almost 8 years ago and they're still going so I know I wash them pretty gently. I go this a while ago like Christmas time , the orange sponges feel different than they did before but they're still good , but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the small purple ones , they're perfect to blend out concealer and I even use them to blend my cream contour , the pink one is a little weird but I've Been using it for liquid highlighter and it's so good. Sorry, that sounds ridiculous but I have other flocked sponges that have a thicker/more noticeable flocking and I feel like that helps immensely with the airbrushed appearance when powdering. It blends the same as a beauty blender, gives you amazing flawless coverage, and such a healthy glow. The edges of the case that actually hold it together are too fragile or thin or something and always chip off. Sponge even wet was just too stiff and did not smoother foundation or blush. They're super easy to clean & last a long time! If this was made flat and WITHOUT the ridges (attempting time simulate finger print), it would be absolute perfection. It's an inexpensive and effective enough way to try out using a sponge for powder application. It's a good thing it had a sponge pet and I could use it to blend it better but in that case I would have just bought a regular sponge.
