Evening all - back on the turret trials, I spent most of the afternoon working on shaping/cutting and bending some PE plates, these are just to enclose the turret from the Hull at the fornt and rear - took a bit of doing but aleast that stage is done, lots more to do yet though. The next few steps involve getting parts ready to assemble to the upper hull after it has been fitted to the lower. The TES system was developed to increase protection of the tank against tandem warheads and IED (Improvised Explosive Device) threats. One of these items ships sooner than the other. The sprues are moulded in a mid grey plastic and the overall detail looks very good. The Challenger 2 TES Megatron is fitted with the TES counter IED equipment, evidenced by the array of standard and "Bird Table" antennas mounted at the top rear of the turret.
