That said, if you want to pay top dollar for the cheapest of granites, have no chance of picking out the your own slab and have no control over your fabricator, even when the job goes sour (which many HD installs do) then by all means, use HD/Lowes. New home, so we cut the tiles to 2.5x12 and put them up as our backsplash in a running bond.
Anyway, I was very glad to find and go look at the actual, recently made slabs that are going to more closely resemble what I will be getting before committing all those $$. Long story short, there is nothing to take the place of looking at a full or even a half slab. x 6 in.
